Have you ever had an inner sense about the meaning of destiny? Have you ever asked yourself, “What is my purpose in life?” or “What is the meaning of destiny?”
It doesn’t have to be earth-shaking. For a grandmother it might be making her grandchildren feel like the most loved creatures in the world. For an auto mechanic it might be doing the best possible work, knowing that every job has the potential of saving the lives of those who drive the vehicles he works on. It could be giving and sharing your love with everyone you meet.
When you are living out your purpose in life, you are living your personal meaning of destiny. When you are aligned with your destiny, your life is joyful, delightful, exciting, and fulfilling.
But what happens to your life when you don’t follow your passions?
How To Change Your Life: Passions Role in Your Destiny
Passions are directly correlated to your meaning of destiny, however they are not the same thing. You learn how to change your life when you realize your passions are the clues or keys to your purpose in life. The more passionate your life, the more closely your life is aligned with your meaning of destiny.
Destiny is life’s journey. You must constantly ask yourself, “What is my purpose?” as passions change and morph over time as you come know and understand yourself more deeply. As you follow your passions, you will find yourself drawn irresistibly onward until one day you wake up and find you are living a passionate life, filled with a sense of destiny.
Align Your Life Passions to Discover Your Purpose in Life
Dr. Andrew Newberg and Mark Waldman, neuroscientists at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Spirituality and the Mind, have extensively studied the relationships between what we believe and what we create in our world. They are coauthors of the acclaimed book Born to Believe.
We asked them about the idea that when you align your days with the things you love the most, you will feel and increasing sense of purpose in life. Here’s what they said:
The brain is very happy when you’re focused on what you love. The more you focus on what you truly love and desire, the volume gets turned down in those parts of the limbic system where the destructive emotions of fear, anger, depression, and anxiety are controlled. This allows you to think more clearly.
You also turn up the volume in other parts of the limbic system that generate positive emotions. When this happens, you get a release of dopamine, endorphins, and a variety of stress-reducing hormones and neurotransmitters. The more you focus on what you truly love, the healthier you are likely to be, and the more you will feel the positive effects of those stress-reducing neurochemicals in your body and mind.
You actually get a kind of double whammy. You can have a decrease in negative emotions and an increase in positive emotions when you align yourself with what you believe is most important to you.
Finding The Meaning of Destiny: What Is My Purpose?
Passion and personal destiny go hand in hand. Having a true love for what you’re doing and an unwavering sense of direction is what fuels your inner fire and propels you forward to find your purpose.
However, your destiny is a very personal path, and no one can walk it for you or tell you where to go. No one can tell you how to change your life in order to live out your meaning of destiny. It is up to you to discover your passions and live what you truly love to do, but once this happens your life will be irresistibly pulled in directions you may not have ever imagined.
Discover your true calling, and begin living the life you were destined for.
Do you know what your passions are? Do you find yourself asking “what is my purpose in life?” Passion is the foundation of success in every area of life. If you’re unclear about what your passions are, you’re much less likely to become successful. This step-by-step program will help you gain absolute clarity on how to change your life so you can start living passionately each and every day.
